Grupa Handl announces a double takeover

Grupa Handl announced two acquisitions in order to strengthen its position in the neurorehabilitation market.

The transaction will see both companies, called Pediatric Specialist Physiotherapy (PSP) and Osiris Health, join Handl’s health and wellness division.

The buy-and-hold insurance investor said this would help the duo scale up its portfolio as it looks to expand its neurological rehabilitation capabilities.

“The success of the Handl Group is based on the development of the companies in which we invest and finding ways for them to create expanded service propositions,” said Daniel Franklin, Chief Strategy Officer.

“This is exactly what PSP and Osiris Health needed.”

Future offers

As part of the deal, PSP’s Peter Sanderson will remain with the company as director of clinical services.

“As director of clinical services, I will be able to continue the work we have started, maintain a consistent vision for the health and wellness department, and ensure that more patients than ever before have access to industry-leading clinical interventions and treatments,” he said.

The Handl Group is also considering further expansion of its health and wellness division in the coming months.

It will do this through more acquisitions, with the company focusing on finding companies that can work with their existing brands.
