Exemption of the textile, clothing and tailoring sectors from all types of taxes

SANA’A June 11, 2024 (Saba) – In Sana’a, it was announced that the textile, clothing and sewing sectors will be exempt from all types of taxes, in accordance with the orders of the Chairman of the Supreme Political Council.

This took place during an event organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the capital’s secretariat in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and the Tax Office as part of the “Our Eid is Local” festival, the aim of which was to announce the tax reliefs and privileges granted by President Al-Mashat to the sector textile and clothing.

The head of the ministry emphasized that tax exemptions will come into force next month and will cover fabrics and all means of clothing production at a rate of 100%.

While the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce at the secretariat, Ali Al-Hadi, expressed thanks on behalf of the Chamber and those working in the textile, clothing and sewing sector to the Chairman of the Supreme Political Council for the generous directives granting privileges and exemptions to this sector.

She hailed the announcement of incentives and tax exemptions as a clear start towards achieving success and prosperity in this key sector
