Police announced that the person who had a gun in the vehicle was arrested

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – A man is facing charges after authorities allegedly found a gun in his car.

According to Laredo Police Department officials, 21-year-old Joseph Jay Rocha was driving at high speeds along the 600 block of Saunders on Thursday morning, Oct. 24.

Officers said when they tried to stop Rocha, he continued driving.

Rocha allegedly did not stop until he reached the 1700 block of Markley St.

After Rocha was taken into custody, officers allegedly found a handgun with a loaded magazine inside his car.

Rocha is currently facing charges in connection with the situation.
