GCR’s Guide to Data Protection and Antitrust Law – Online Advertising | Global law firm

Miranda Cole, Lara White and Christoph Ritzer from our offices in Brussels, London and Frankfurt authored a chapter on the impact of the interplay of competition law and privacy law on online advertising. It was published in the first issue of the Global Competition Review’s Guide to Data and Antitrust Law in May 2024. The chapter provides a brief, high-level overview of how online advertising works, discusses privacy challenges in the online advertising ecosystem, and examines competition law challenges related to advertising online and examines the direct and indirect interplay between privacy law and competition law in the context of online advertising.
