SEOUL, June 14 (Reuters)Korea’s consumer safety agency said on Friday that 27 of 88 tested products sold on foreign e-commerce platforms AliExpress, Temu and Qoo10, including children’s toys, did not meet national safety standards.

The world’s fourth-largest e-commerce market has increased regulatory scrutiny of foreign marketplaces, including Alibaba 9988.HK AliExpress and PDD Holdings” PDD.O signing a promotional contract in May product safety.

In May, the Korea Consumer Agency began safety testing of motorcycle helmets, children’s toys, color cosmetics and air fresheners sold on three platforms.

It said that, in line with the agency’s recommendation, all three platforms have now blocked the sale of problematic products.
