Romania launches an aid program for the production sector worth EUR 450 million

June 14 (SeeNews) – Romania is launching a state aid program worth almost 450 million euros ($480.9 million) aimed at companies operating in the manufacturing industry, said Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.

The program will be financed from European funds and the state budget, Ciolacu said during Thursday’s government meeting.

The public aid program will be valid for three years and will support the establishment of new enterprises in the production sector or the creation of new business lines for existing companies.

Last week, the Romanian government said it had approved an extension of the IMM Plus state aid program for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by 2.5 billion lei ($536.8 million/502.3 million euros), bringing the total amount to 15 billion lei. .
