Anderson has named Accent’s new chief information officer: Housing Digital

Accent Group has appointed former soldier James Anderson as chief information officer (CIO); will start later this month.

Anderson, an experienced technology and transformation leader, will join Accent from chief health and safety officer, where he currently serves as chief technology officer. His experience includes four years as Group IT Director at the Guinness Partnership and 17 years in the British Army.

As CIO, he will lead Accent’s technology, data and transformation functions. Anderson will play a key leadership role in realizing the organization’s ambition to become more digitally adaptive, which will include systemic changes to help staff meet the growing and changing needs of residents.

He will also lead the collection, analysis and implementation of transparent data, underscoring Accent’s commitment to using data to drive decisions, improve customer experience and achieve excellence through customer-driven services.

Anderson said: “I am very excited to be joining Accent Housing and returning to the housing sector. I look forward to working with all colleagues across the organization to enhance the technologies we already have, create new digital services, and apply and integrate our data to better support our customers.

The appointment of a permanent CIO demonstrates our commitment to building on existing strong foundations, while future-proofing the organization to meet the needs of the housing sector and our clients.

James’ skills and experience will help Accent implement these goals throughout the organization at all levels. Accent is entering an exciting new chapter and James will play a key role in developing our systems and taking service delivery to new levels.

Anderson will join Accent on June 18.
