Kate’s message of love, strength and hope to those affected by baby loss

The Princess of Wales has released a personal message of support to those affected by the “devastation of losing a baby”.

Kate, in a social media post from Kensington Palace, said she was sending “love, strength and hope” as she marked Baby Loss Awareness Week on Tuesday .

The princess, who is slowly returning to a light schedule of public duties after completing her chemotherapy treatment, described the annual commemoration and awareness event as “a very important moment”.

Her message read: “Baby Loss Awareness Week is a very important time to support those who have experienced the devastation of losing a baby.

“Sending love, strength and hope to everyone affected. #WaveofLight.

It was signed “C” and accompanied by an image of a Wave of Light Plum & Ashby candle as part of the global wave of light at the end of the week, which ran from October 9-15.

Luxury home, bath and body brand Plum & Ashby has produced the official Wave of Light campaign candle every year since 2020 for Tommy’s, the UK’s largest pregnancy research charity, and all profits are donated to the organization.

Kensington Palace social media accounts typically celebrate this week every year and also share links to organizations offering support.

Last Thursday, the 42-year-old princess made her first official joint outing with the Prince of Wales since completing her cancer treatment this summer.

She sent hugs and a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to emergency workers called to the fatal Southport stabbings after meeting the children’s grieving families on Merseyside.

It is understood the engagement was planned as a solo visit for William, but Kate decided to join her husband in order to show her support for the local community.

The princess hopes to make a public appearance at the annual Remembrance Sunday event at the Cenotaph next month in honor of the country’s fallen servicemen – an important event in the royal family’s calendar.

She also met with staff to discuss organizing her annual Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey in December.

Kate was pictured earlier this month hugging aspiring photographer Liz Hatton, 16, who has a rare form of cancer, after the teenager was invited to Windsor Castle by William to take photos at an inauguration ceremony he organized.

The future queen spoke last month about her hopes for the future and how this year has affected her family.

She announced that she had completed her course of chemotherapy in a candid video on September 9, in which she spoke about her experience while footage of Wales and their children spending time together outdoors.

“Even though I have completed chemotherapy, my road to healing and full recovery is long,” she said.

The princess added that she was “looking forward to returning to work and undertaking some more public engagements in the coming months”, but added that her aim was to “do what I can to stay cancer-free”.
