The President of the Government of National Unity (GNU) will consult with GNU partners before appointing the Council of Ministers.

According to the declaration of intent that the DA and ANC have already signed, this is one of the modes that will form part of the GNU.

During a press conference on Friday, DA leader John Steenhuisen said no agreement had been reached on ministerial positions.
