MoU signed at PU to enhance use of artificial intelligence in agriculture and health sectors | Chandigarh News

Chandigarh: In a bid to foster innovation and technological advancement, PU-IIT Foundation Ropar Regional Accelerator for Holistic Innovations (PI-RAHI) and AI & Robotics Technology Park (ARTPARK@IISc), Bangalore have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Panjab University (PU). This collaboration aims to improve research, development and implementation of artificial intelligence and robotics technologies in agriculture, health and ecosystem resilience. Under this MoU, PI-RAHI and ARTPARK will join forces to collaborate on disease surveillance, data science, start-up incubation, skills, artificial intelligence and analytics through multidisciplinary and multi-stakeholder engagement to deliver research, innovation and implementation in care health, public health, climate change, animal husbandry, antimicrobial resistance, health and other areas of interest. Vice-Rector of PU, prof. Renu Vig, said that the collaboration between PI-RAHI and ARTPARK is expected to play a key role in accelerating the development and adoption of these technologies in the Northern Region. The MoU was signed in the presence of Raghu Dharmaraju, CEO, ARTPARK and Dr. Harsh Nayyar of Panjab University.
