Nine heads of companies and institutions close to the government earned over half a million francs last year. This is one person more than in the previous year. Hansruedi Köng, CEO of Postfinance, received the most – excluding contributions to employee pensions.

In his final year as Postfinance CEO, Köng received about CHF 835,000 ($936,000) – about CHF 8,000 more than the previous year. Taking into account employer contributions to social security and employee benefits, his salary was less than one million francs. This is according to the Federal Council’s report on executive remuneration for 2023 published on Friday.

As in the previous year, Swiss Post CEO Roberto Cirillo took second place in the salary ranking with a salary of approximately CHF 825,000, while Federal Railways CEO Vincent Ducrot took third place with approximately CHF 776,000. Cirillo and Ducrot received a total remuneration – including employer contributions for social security and employee benefits – of over one million francs.
