Another change of position in the world of luxury. As management changes continue at Gucci, rumors of changes in the luxury sphere continue to spread. The flagship brand Kering has confirmed the departure of communications director Benjamin Cercio, and Stefano Cantino from Louis Vuitton is likely to join the Italian house.

Benjamin Cercio – Gucci

What is certain is that Benjamin Cercio has left Gucci. After fifteen years at Louis Vuitton, where he increasingly took on press and celebrity responsibilities, he joined Gucci in 2022 as Global Director of Communications. Last year, his position expanded to senior vice president of global communications.

At the end of September, Global Director of Corporate and Internal Communications, Claudio Monteverde, also left the company. He joined Moncler, where he serves as director of corporate communications. That same month, Alessio Vanetti, Gucci’s former global communications director from 2015 to 2019, returned home as executive vice president and brand director.

According to the Italian press, Stefano Cantino, who has been senior vice president of communications and events at Louis Vuitton since 2018, may soon join Gucci. Previously, he spent most of his career in Prada, working there for over twenty years. For the last four years, from 2014 to 2018, he served as the Director of Marketing, Communication and Development.

Since last fall, Gucci has been headed by Jean-François Palus, and the creative direction has been entrusted to Sabato De Sarno, who replaced the iconic Alessandro Michele at the beginning of 2023.
