Comcast Names New Regulatory Chief

Comcast today announced that Francis M. Buono has been named vice president of regulatory affairs and senior deputy general counsel. He will be responsible for providing enterprise-wide legal advice on regulatory matters and overseeing the company’s regulatory legal support, including filing submissions in federal and state regulatory proceedings and related litigation and appeals. He will be based in Comcast’s Washington, D.C. office and will report to SEVP and Chief Diversity Officer David L. Cohen.

Buono spent the last 25 years at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, where most recently he was a partner and chair of the Communications, Media and Privacy Department and chair of the Privacy and Data Security Practice Group.
