KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City man has been charged following an investigation into a fatal shooting outside a convenience store near 35th Street and Cleveland.

Tracy L. Parker is charged with second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of armed criminal action, the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Court records filed Thursday in Kansas City, Missouri, say officers found a man in the parking lot of a convenience store after a shooting. Call on Sunday at 17.30.

The convenience store’s security cameras showed the victim, later identified as 36-year-old DeAnthony Guthrie, raise his hand in the air and step back after the suspect exited a black SUV.

Parker is then seen pointing a black handgun at the victim. He then walked forward and started shooting.

Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker requested that Parker be held on $500,000 cash bond.
