BEIJING, June 17 (Xinhua) — The China Coast Guard (CCG) has taken regulatory measures in response to the illegal incursion of a Filipino vessel into the waters off Ren’ai Jiao on Monday morning, the CCG said in a statement.

At 5:59 a.m., a Philippine supply ship, disregarding repeated stern warnings from the Chinese side, deliberately and dangerously approached Chinese ships normally sailing in the adjacent waters of the Ren’ai Jiao. The statement said this was a violation of the International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea.

This act led to a minor collision for which the Philippine side is solely responsible, it added in a statement.
