Oman aims to achieve an annual production rate of 1 million tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030, potentially becoming the sixth largest exporter in this sector in the world, and projected revenues from exports and domestic use by 2030 will reach $2 billion per year. Long-term forecasts indicate that these revenues could grow to the “double-digit billion dollar level.”

Oman’s national strategy for an orderly transition to grid zero aims to contribute an additional 50% to GDP by 2050, mainly through domestic investment in hydrogen infrastructure and increasing green energy generation capacity.

Applications for the program can be made via the SMEDA website until June 13, 2024. The training will last from June 23 to July 24, 2024.
