Korean tech giant Kakao and Dior Beauty Korea signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Monday to collaborate on exclusive promotions launched through Kakao’s e-commerce platform.

The partnership aims to introduce exclusive Dior Beauty product lines and new product promotions under KakaoTalk Gift, as well as explore new business opportunities.

For example, new Dior Beauty products will be launched earlier in Korea via the Kakao e-commerce platform, the range of exclusive gift products will be expanded, and seasonal premium gift packages will be offered to meet the diverse needs of consumers.

Nicolas Bernard-Bouissieres, president of Parfums Christian Dior and general manager of LVMH’s cosmetics division in Korea, and Jun Sung-joon, head of Kakao Commerce, attended the signing ceremony on Friday at the Dior Beauty Korea office building in downtown Seoul.

“We plan to support the effective fulfillment of customers’ diverse needs through close cooperation with Christian Dior Beuaty Korea,” Jeon said in a statement. “We will strengthen our leading position in the market as an effective model of cooperation between the online platform and the brand.”
