Federal and state governments have been urged to take necessary steps to make housing affordable for the general population of Nigeria, which is facing a housing crisis.

This challenge is being taken up by the CEO of LuckyBay Homes, Ujomu Lucky Ikechukwu, who hinted that the company will continue to provide affordable luxury homes to Nigerians despite the economic difficulties in the country.

The country’s real estate industry continues to grow despite the challenging business environment in Africa’s most populous nation, with big players like LuckyBay Homes leading the charge to provide citizens with decent homes they can call their own.

The managing director revealed that supporting the housing deficit revolution in the country has always been his dream, long before he set out in business.

Ujomu Lucky Ikechukwu has undertaken landmark projects in the country, one of which is the development of two five-bedroom semi-detached houses in Lekki Palm City Estate, Ajah, Lagos. The achievement four years after the company’s launch meant it had become a formidable competitor in the industry. It is currently competitive in Abuja and Lagos, where it is developing properties and also plans to expand to other cities in the country.

Ujomu Lucky Ikechukwu, a native of Delta State, started from humble beginnings as a real estate broker in 2009 before starting a real estate development company in 2013. Less than 11 years later, he has built one of the largest real estate brands on the continent despite challenges such as unfavorable government policies and the unfavorable economic situation in Nigeria.

“Despite the challenging economic environment in the country, LuckyBay Homes has not given up or lost its focus on affordable luxury homes, which has seen it grow into what it is today as one of the best real estate development companies in Nigeria,” stated Ujomu Lucky Ikechukwu

The 47-year-old managing director of LuckyBay Homes is an equally famous philanthropist. In several forums, he has unequivocally advocated government’s deliberate commitment to provide housing for the masses as part of improving people’s well-being and ending poverty in Nigeria.

“The government cannot continue to ignore the housing problem in the country. This sector has long been driven by private sector developers and investors. It is high time for the government to intervene with sustainable policies and funds to help solve the affordable housing problem facing the masses,” said Ujomu Lucky Ikechukwu.
