Qualitas Energy approves 36 MW wind farm project in Germany

Qualitas Energy, a global investment, management and project development platform focused on renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure, recently announced the successful acquisition of a 36 MW wind energy project in Brandenburg, Germany. At the park, initially equipped with Enercon turbines since 1999, the old turbines will be replaced with five modern models. The project aims to provide environmentally friendly wind energy to over 24,000 homes. Advanced project planning demonstrates Qualitas Energy’s commitment to accelerating the energy transition in Germany.

Cooperation with local communities

A key element of the success of this project is cooperation with local residents and communities. Qualitas Energy emphasizes the importance of involving local residents at the earliest planning stages.

“Our goal is to build sustainable projects that not only provide clean energy, but also gain the trust and support of the local population,” says Borja Caruana, managing director of Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH.

This collaborative approach aims to ensure the long-term success of wind energy projects, offering economic and environmental benefits to the region.

Integrated services for quick implementation

Qualitas Energy stands out for its ability to accelerate project success through integrated services, from acquisition to development, construction and operation.

“The energy transition cannot wait,” emphasizes Johannes Overbeck, Investment Director at Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH. “We are committed to working with local communities to ensure a clean, independent energy supply that will benefit future generations.”

The company plans to invest a significant part of its flagship Qualitas Energy V fund in repowering projects and the development of new wind farms in Germany. This fund, whose value amounted to EUR 2.4 billion, is one of the world’s largest funds dedicated to renewable energy.

The German wind market is strengthening

Qualitas Energy plans to expand its wind energy development pipeline to a total capacity of 6 GW in Germany. This expansion strengthens its position as the accelerator of the energy transition through a solution-led and partnership-based approach.
