Streamer Asmongold banned from Twitch following racist remarks against Palestinians: “They come from lower backgrounds…”

Asmongold’s racist speech on the killings of Palestinians in Gaza

During a broadcast on Monday, October 14, he called the Palestinians “terrible people” who “come from an inferior and horrible culture.” The streamer was talking about the ongoing conflict in Gaza, which has killed more than 42,000 Palestinians in Israeli attacks. His comments quickly spread to other social media platforms.

This sparked heavy criticism from Twitch users, following which his account “Zackrawrr” was temporarily banned from the platform. His other account, “Asmongold,” is still up and running, but Hoyt hasn’t used that channel in almost a year.

A Twitch spokesperson told IGN: “We take enforcement action when there are violations of our community guidelines, including our Hateful Conduct Policy and other rules. » Hoyt’s channel now leads to a notification on the platform that says: “This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.”

Asmongold’s racist speech against the Palestinians

A clip of the streamer’s rant revealed that he said: “If you want to think of it as genocide as a systematic killing of a group of people, they currently have genocide built into Sharia law”, during the broadcast. Hoyt continued: “So no, I’m not going to cry to hell when people who have genocide written into their laws are being genocided. I don’t care. They are terrible people. It’s not even a question.
