Apple releases iOS 17.6, watchOS 10.6, macOS 14.6 and more developer betas after unveiling iOS 18

Apple’s iOS 18 launch brought many surprises, and new AI integrations have changed the way we use iPhone. iOS 18 is expected to be rolled out to the general public later this year, likely in September, which means the company will release several minor updates to iOS 17. The company has released the first developer beta of iOS 17.6, watchOS 10.6, macOS 14.6, tvOS 17.6 and VisionOS 1.3 for all devices.

Apple has made iOS 17.6, watchOS 10.6 and other beta versions available to developers for testing

iOS 17.6 and iPadOS 17.6 beta 1 can be downloaded from the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad by linking your Apple ID and developer account. Just go to Settings > General > Sofare Updates > Beta Updates and download the latest available beta version. Note that you’ll also see the iOS 18 beta version in the options, so be sure to choose the right one.

In addition to iOS 17.6, Apple has also released the first developer beta of watchOS 10.6, which can be downloaded via the dedicated Apple Watch app for iPhone. Launch the app and go to General > Software Updates > Beta Updates > and download watchOS 10.6 beta 1. Make sure your Apple ID and developer account are connected to receive the over-the-air update.

Apple has also made the first beta of macOS 14.6 available to developers, which all registered developers can download via Software update mechanism in System Settings. As with all updates, your Apple ID and developer account must be linked to receive updates over the air.

The new round of developer betas also includes VisionOS 1.3, which can be downloaded via the Settings app on your Vision Pro device. All you have to do is turn on developer betas, but make sure you’ve backed up your data before doing this. The company has also made tvOS 17.6 available to developers, which can be installed by opting for the beta version in the Settings app on Apple TV.

At this point, we are not familiar with the new changes and features in the latest iOS 17.6 and other builds. We’ll wait while the developers work on the new versions, so be sure to stick around. The company will also soon release additional developer betas for iOS 18, watchOS 11, macOS 15, and more, which we’ll discuss in detail.
