The best gadgets with heavy construction

As we already mentioned, here are what your three gadgets should be as a Heavy:

RPG-7

Removing obstacles is always a good thing in the game. And the RPG-7 does it well, whether it’s walls or ceilings. This way you can even sneak in a surprise win at the Cashout Station from a lower floor. And yes, it’s great for attacking the occasional light enemy. While Sledgehammer weapons can also achieve this, ranged weapons are better against enemies.

Barricade

A barricade is great for increasing the defensibility of a position, while also providing cover if you are caught out in the open. If you want to raid a payday in progress, this will help create an opening if used correctly. You can also lift placed barricades, allowing you to change positions when necessary.

Piro Mine

When protecting locations such as cash stations, it’s a good idea to have a mine on hand. Pyro Mine will burn enemies to ashes and is especially deadly to Light players. Prop one of these up near your target and you’ll at least delay the capture, if not completely prevent it. They can still be shot at, so they’re not completely reliable. And in modes like Terminal Attack, taking down a single opponent can turn the odds of success in your favor.

Hard game strategies

When playing as a Heavy player, there are a few things to keep in mind to ensure optimal play:

• Remember the cooldown time of gadgets. Since items like the RPG-7 are great at destroying the environment, use them at every opportunity.
• Distract the enemy’s attention from your team members. You can take more damage from them, so distract your opponents and let your allies deal the killing blows. Use Dome Shield and Mesh Shield to gain a defensive bonus.
• Remember that Goo is useful in almost every situation. Do you want to block the passage? Slush. Want to create a bridge to get to a difficult place? Slush. Take a Goo grenade with you or use the crates and canisters scattered around the map. Making full use of Goo will help you play better and give Fat players more maneuverability.
• Beware of enemies equipped with high-damage weapons such as shotguns that can eat up your health bar. Reckless players with a stun gun or flashbang are especially annoying. You may be tough, but you’re not invincible.
