In the wake of multiple sexual assault allegations against him, including a lawsuit filed by Cassie – his ex-girlfriend and former collaborator of his label Bad Boy Records – Sean “Diddy” Combs’ business empire continues to deal with the fallout. Combs and Cassie settled the case the day after the filing, and he recently apologized for a video showing him physically attacking her. However, he has previously denied the allegations in her lawsuit and numerous subsequent allegations of sexual misconduct and illegal conduct. Many brands and companies have still chosen to distance themselves from him or cut ties altogether. Below is a list of things Diddy has left or been kicked out of, including the most recent to be removed: New York City.

The public, tuition-free charter school that Diddy co-founded cut its relationship with him in November 2023. “After a comprehensive review, the decision has been made to terminate the partnership between Capital Preparatory Schools and Sean Combs,” co-founder and schools director Dr. Steve Perry said in a statement. “While this decision was not made lightly, we strongly believe it is in the best interest of the health and future of our organization.”

At least eighteen companies have distanced themselves from the recently launched e-commerce site Diddy Empower Global, a marketplace for Black-owned businesses, Rolling Stone confirmed on December 10, 2023. The site works like Amazon: sellers pay a monthly subscription of $35 to operate on the platform. According to the website, of the 160 companies contacted, five said they were monitoring the allegations before deciding to shut down the site. Nine said they had no specific plans to leave. Some companies that have dropped Empower Global altogether said the allegations, combined with the platform’s poor performance, influenced their decision to leave. “It was a pleasure working with the team, but we did not see significant sales, so we were already planning to end our cooperation at the end of this year,” said Rebecca Allen, founder of the eponymous brand. “These shocking allegations accelerated our decision.”

Annette Njau, founder of luxury company House of Takura, said the company decided to leave Empower “the day Casandra Ventura filed her lawsuit,” she said. Rolling Stone. “We take the allegations against Mr. Combs very seriously and find this behavior abhorrent and intolerable. We believe in victims’ rights and support victims in speaking the truth, even against the most powerful people.” Diddy announced the 2021 venture under the umbrella of Combs Global, a company that operates a portfolio of companies in the media, fashion and e-commerce industries.

Behind Diversity, Hulu pulled the reality series centering on Diddy and his seven children following lawsuits against Diddy in December 2023. James Corden’s production company, Fulwell 73, was reportedly set to produce the series, which had a working title Diddy+7.

In January, Bloomberg reported that Salxco, which previously managed Diddy as an artist, no longer listed him as a client on its website. At the time of publication, Diddy remains absent from Salxco’s artist roster.

On March 26, the day after federal agents raided Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami, TMZ reported that Diddy had sold all of his shares of Revolt TV to an anonymous new owner. The record executive and businessman stepped down as president of the television network in November. TMZ reported at the time that the move was temporary. “Sean Combs has stepped down as president of REVOLT,” reads a statement on Instagram. “While Mr. Combs has not previously held any operational or day-to-day role in the business, this decision helps ensure that REVOLT will remain focused on our mission to create meaningful cultural content and amplify the voices of all Black people across this country and the African diaspora.” Combs has been with the network since 2013. She added: “Our focus has always been one that reflects our commitment to the collective REVOLT journey – one that is not driven by any one individual, but the collective efforts and values of our entire team on behalf of growing, elevating and supporting our culture – and that continues.” .

On June 4, news broke that Diddy had sold his majority stake in Revolt, making a coalition of employees and the CEO the new owners.

Peloton presses pause on Diddy’s music. CNN reported that the exercise company confirmed this in a May 20 response to a post in a private Facebook customer group. “We take this matter very seriously and can confirm that Peloton has stopped using Sean Combs’ music and has removed the Bad Boy Entertainment Artist Series from our platform,” reads a comment on a screenshot obtained by People. “This means that our instructors no longer use his music in newly created classes. Thank you again for sharing your concerns and being a member of our Peloton community.

On June 7, the Howard University Board of Trustees voted unanimously to revoke the 2014 honorary degree of Dr. Diddy, who attended the school from 1987-1989. “Mr. “Combs’ conduct captured in a recently released video is so fundamentally inconsistent with the core values and beliefs of Howard University that he is no longer deemed worthy to hold the institution’s highest honor,” the university said in a statement, adding that it would also terminate the scholarship established in his name in 2016 and returned his $1 million donation to the program. Howard is also canceling his 2023 pledge agreement with the Sean Combs Foundation, although he stated that no money will be returned because no payments have been made yet.

Diddy also left the country’s most populous city. According to NBC News, on June 10, the fallen tycoon returned the keys to the city of New York at the request of Mayor Eric Adams after the release of footage showing Diddy attacking Cassie. Earlier this month, Adams sent a letter to the hip-hop star’s PR representative saying he was “deeply concerned” about the video of the assault. “I strongly condemn these actions and stand in solidarity with all victims of domestic and gender-based violence,” Adams wrote. “Our city has worked tirelessly to ensure that our administration hears and sees survivors.” The mayor handed the key to Diddy last September.
