Jake Paul said he would be ‘eaten alive’ before Mike Tyson fight | Boxing | Sport

Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew has issued a stern warning to YouTube star turned boxer Jake Paul, saying he would be “eaten alive” in the ring with him.

“The Problem Child” Jake Paul is gearing up for a blockbuster encounter with Mike Tyson as the two men face off on November 15 at the AT&T Arena in Arlington, Texas, in front of a blockbuster crowd of 90,000. Paul’s journey from internet sensation to professional boxer has seen him take on the likes of Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz.

Boasting a 10-1 record, his only blemish was rectified by Tommy Fury last year via a points decision.

The match between the internet phenomenon and the heavyweight legend was originally scheduled for July, but was postponed when Tyson succumbed to an ulcer flare-up, interrupting his training regime. “Iron Mike”, however, has resumed his fitness efforts and is determined to make a formidable return to the squared circle soon.

There has been criticism of the fight’s confirmation amid concerns over Tyson’s wellbeing after the former world heavyweight champion, 58, revealed difficulty walking after the fight. Doubts remain over whether Tyson will be robust enough for the fight, creating speculation that it could be canceled again.

Despite Tyson’s skepticism and years of experience, Paul remains confident in Tyson’s fitness, saying the boxing titan is thriving in his preparations. It’s Mike Tyson or nothing,” Paul said, emphasizing the main event draw. “But first and foremost, he’s healthy, he feels good and is doing well in camp.”

Bellew has once again expressed his disdain for Paul’s boxing adventures, suggesting the YouTuber avoids real in-ring challenges. In candid remarks to the safest casino sites, he said: “Look, everyone has a price, but he (Jake Paul) would never fight me, I would eat him alive.

“Fight a real boxer. I’ll tell you, come to England, get a license and try to win an English title. If you can win an English title or the British title, my hat is off to you.” to you. Or go do it in the USA, do it where you’re from.

“Win the US Cruiserweight title. As soon as he goes with someone who has reasonable boxing experience, he’s got it. He’s taken to school.”

The former British boxing champion is visibly unimpressed with Paul’s upcoming fight with Tyson, making clear his willingness to replace Tyson if the opportunity arises, but for the right amount.

Bellew said in September: “I’m not really hungry or want to face Jake Paul if I’m completely honest. Do I want to? No, not really. But would I? Yes. Everyone has a price. I absolutely do, but do I not really want it?
