SOUTHWICK — For the Polverari-Southwick Animal Shelter, the sixth annual Farm Day Parade scheduled for this Saturday is its biggest fundraiser of the year. Participants are always needed to help this good cause.

“Their support is critical to getting the help our animals need when they need medical or emergency care to prepare them for adoption,” Southwick Animal Control Officer Liz Bennett told about the parade sponsored by the Southwick Civic Fund, which starts at 2 p.m. Saturday. October 19.
