Sungrow is showcasing its first line of microinverters at Intersolar 2024

Sungrow Showcases Its First Line of Microinverters and Smart Home Manager at Intersolar 2024

Designed for a variety of residential applications such as balconies and rooftops, Sungrow’s new micro-inverters are part of a new product line that includes three models: S450S, S800S and S1600S, with power ratings of 450W, 800W and 1600W respectively. With a 2% increase in power generation compared to similar products, plug-and-play functionality and one-click network configuration, Sungrow provides users with a more efficient and convenient experience.

Stable performance under low light and high temperature conditions

Sungrow microinverters operate effectively in both low light and high temperature environments, resulting in an overall increase in power generation of 2%. Specifically, they have an MPPT voltage range of 16-60V, ensuring optimal performance even in low sunlight. Additionally, Sungrow has implemented a heat dissipation solution that uses high-quality aluminum alloy substrates with thermal conductivity up to 130 W/mK.

The micro-channel corrugated heat sink (MCHS) design improves heat dissipation in both directions, accelerating heat release. The manufacturer claims that the microinverters can operate at full power even in unventilated environments with temperatures up to 60°C, ensuring highly efficient energy production.

Plug-and-Play with 30% more performance.

With a minimalist design, Sungrow microinverters offer a 30% increase in installation efficiency. The plug-and-play design significantly reduces installation time, while the standard 2.8m AC busbar allows for a variety of installation scenarios with different module layouts, providing users with flexibility and convenience. Users only need to configure the parameters of one microinverter, and the other microinverters in the same network are automatically synchronized within 1 minute, allowing for quick connection to the cloud.

In addition, they have an intelligent self-monitoring function. Installation staff can use the iSolarCloud intelligent energy management platform to pre-check module connection status, inverter status, country information and environmental conditions, thereby avoiding re-inspections and improving installation efficiency.

New smart manager: iHomeManager

Intersolar Europe also saw Sungrow unveil its new iHomeManager, a smart home energy management solution powered by Sungrow’s cutting-edge AI technology that personalizes optimal energy strategies for homes based on solar energy forecasts and home energy consumption analysis. By acting as the “smart brain” of homes, this solution significantly increases renewable energy revenues by 10%.

iHomeManager leverages Sungrow’s Artificial Intelligence-Based Strategy (AIBS), which uses advanced algorithms such as deep reinforcement learning to autonomously analyze household electricity consumption patterns and predict energy demand. By integrating real-time market electricity prices with 24-hour PV generation forecasts, it intelligently schedules ESS charging and discharging, reducing electricity costs and maximizing revenues.

During periods of abundant solar energy production during the day, iHomeManager takes proactive measures to redirect excess renewable energy to heat pumps, optimizing the use of renewable energy resources. During periods of low morning electricity prices, iHomeManager effectively charges the Energy Storage System (ESS).

Instead, it discharges stored energy during periods of peak demand and high prices, taking advantage of price fluctuations while efficiently using the remaining optimal state of charge (SOC) to power solar PV. Together, iHomeManager can increase your household’s renewable energy income by 10% or more.
