Recall the details

Description:

The recall concerns TRUBLUE iQ automatic belay devices, which enable climbers to safely disembark while climbing. TRUBLUE iQ is gray with blue handles and a gray sash on the front cover. TRUBLUE IQ+ has an additional catch-and-hold brake at the front. LT iQ and iQ+ versions have blue markings above the blue tape handle; XL versions have a purple label. The recalled auto belay devices have a serial number in the following serial number range printed on the handle of the device as well as on the bottom of the device:

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled auto belay devices and contact Head Rush Technologies for a free inspection and repair.

Incidents/injuries:

The company received 31 reports of sniffing disorder incidents, including one consumer fall. No injuries were reported.
