The potential of the African e-commerce market is still largely untapped

E-commerce copyMs Erica Ayenuro, a business consultant, said on Saturday that the potential of the African e-commerce market is still largely untapped.

Ayenuro made a statement in Lagos at the 2015 Congo Sellers Summit titled: “The New Market: Leveraging the Ecosystem.”

In a speech titled: “The Evolution of Customer Service in the Retail Industry,” Ayenuro stated that the retail market should focus on customer satisfaction.

The business consultant said the global market has already moved online and the growth of online shopping in Africa is expected to skyrocket in the near future.

“More and more Internet users prefer to buy online due to convenience and comfort. Online shopping still accounts for less than 2 percent of total retail sales in Africa,” Ayenuro said.

She said most African products and services were not yet visible to the outside world.

According to her, Nigeria is a rising star in the market these days and businessmen should take advantage of the country’s population to develop their business.

Ayenuro stated that customer service includes a number of activities aimed at increasing customer satisfaction.

“Customer satisfaction is influenced by our approach and mindset principles,” Ayenuro said.

The business consultant stated that feedback is crucial to achieving customer satisfaction.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Konga Seller Summit 2015 is a capacity building summit aimed at helping Konga customers have the best way to earn money through the online platform.

Sellers at the summit expressed their gratitude to Konga for enabling them to achieve excellence through its e-commerce platform.
