Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on the launch of Copilot + PCs

Microsoft caused a stir in the industry with the launch of its flagship artificial intelligence (AI)-powered PC, Copilot + PCs. Microsoft has recognized Copilot+ PCs as a new category of desktop computers that are designed specifically for artificial intelligence and are the fastest and most intelligent Windows PCs that can see the light of day. If we talk about the operating system, the tech giant has incorporated artificial intelligence in it. CEO Satya Nadella said this marks the beginning of a new era for Windows.

Nadella wrote on Twitter: “Today begins a new era for Windows with the launch of Copilot+ computers. We can’t wait to see how these new AI-powered devices will enable people to be more productive and creative.”

Microsoft Copilot + PCs: Features

Microsoft’s latest offering has a minimum specification of over 40 TOPS (trillion operations per second) and 16 GB RAM. It features the most advanced artificial intelligence models in NPU (Neural Processing Unit) according to Microsoft.

These specially designed PCs have also been improved with large language models (LLM) running on the Microsoft Azure cloud, which provides a better experience with photos, editing and so on.

Prior to release, one feature in particular made headlines for being the wrong version. The “Recall” feature had users concerned about their security, but now they can relax as these computers do not have the Recall feature that was introduced in May. This feature mainly involved the device constantly taking and storing screenshots of user activity.

Who makes Copilot + PCs?

Microsoft Copilot + PCs are provided by Microsoft Surface. In addition to Microsoft Surface, they are also offered by original hardware partners including Dell, HP, Asus, Lenovo, Samsung and Acer.
