The top 5,000 apps have started rolling out native versions of HarmonyOS

At the Huawei 2024 Developer Conference, Yu Chengdong, Huawei executive and president of both the Terminal Business Group and the Intelligent Automotive Solutions Business Unit, announced significant progress in HarmonyOS native applications. The top 5,000 apps have been fully launched, meeting 99.9% of user needs, and there are currently over 1,500 apps available in 18 different fields.

Reports indicate that HarmonyOS NEXT has achieved a unified system ecosystem, connecting multiple devices and scenarios to enhance overall performance. This new system architecture increases device performance by 30%, providing users with a comprehensive and intelligent operating system experience.

Yu Chengdong said: “HarmonyOS is an intelligent, full-scenario operating system built on OpenHarmony. It is an operating system from China and can be independently controlled.”

Additionally, Huawei introduced the new Star Shield security architecture and native HarmonyOS intelligence. The updated human-computer interaction system provides more natural and multimodal communication. Personalized exclusivity ensures a more intuitive and secure experience, while scene-wide intelligence improves perception, collaboration and continuous service in all scenarios.
