HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Rescue crews are searching for a missing kayaker in the waters of Ala Moana in Waikiki.

The first call came in shortly before 6:30 p.m.

Sources say a teenager went into the water just before sunset and did not return.

Helicopters were seen flying over the sea for hours.
