Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan made a stunning entry at the trailer launch of Citadel: Honey Bunny in Mumbai on October 15. The duo, who take on the role of spy agents in the upcoming series, oozed style in their coordinating black outfits. While Samantha looked stunning in a black maxi dress, Varun stole the show in a velvet blazer and white shirt. A day after the event, Varun Dhawan shared new suave-looking photos.

Citadel: Honey Bunny, scheduled to release on Prime Video on November 7, is the Indian spin-off of the Amazon Prime series Citadel. The first edition starred Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden as the protagonists. Directed by Raj and DK, Citadel: Honey Bunny marks Varun and Samantha’s first project together. Additionally, Russo Brothers serves as executive producer of the series.

The trailer for the recently launched series promises high-octane action and romance. It features Bunny (Varun Dhawan) and struggling actress Honey (Samantha) as the protagonists. The adventure-filled ride sees guns and bullets fired in every direction as the duo fight to protect Honey’s young daughter, Nadia. The problem is that Nadia is Priyanka Chopra’s character in the British version of Citadel. The trailer ends with Nadia telling Honey, “Everyone dies or gets killed. I’m still a child, you know.

Apart from the lead duo, Citadel: Honey Bunny also stars Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, Kashvi Majmundar, Saquib Saleem and Sikandar Kher.

Amid promotions for Citadel: Honey Bunny, Varun Dhawan has a few exciting projects coming up including Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and another untitled film with his father David Dhawan. He also has Baby John and Border 2 in the works.
