Barcelona considering quartet of free transfers in the in the summer, with Jonathan David, Alphonso Davies, Jonathan Tah and Reinildo Mandava all on their radar.

All four players are in the final years of their contracts and, unless deals are agreed, they will be able to move elsewhere on free transfers at the end of the current season.

The Daily Mail reports that Barcelona are keen on all four men and with finances still a serious problem at the Camp Nou, the Spanish giants are looking for the cheapest deals for next summer.

There will be plenty of competition for players though, with Premier League sides linked with all four in recent months.

Manchester United have been touted as a possible destination for the four, while Chelsea have been credited with interest in David and Tah.

Arsenal have also been linked with Lille striker David, with the 24-year-old enjoying another prolific season so far after an impressive spell in France since arriving from Gent in 2020.

The Canadian international has already scored eight goals in 13 games and is on course to beat the total of 26 he achieved in each of the last two seasons.

David has suggested he could extend his stay at Lille, but there is interest in the Premier League and it will surely be difficult for the French side to keep him in the long term.

“At the moment we are discussing with (Lille president) Olivier Létang about a possible extension,” he told The Athletic last month. “We’ll see how it goes.

“I’m open to anything. I obviously think the Premier League is considered one of the best leagues in the world. And for me it’s not the Premier League or the collapse. I’m open to anything and every league has its challenges.

Fellow Canadian international Davies has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid, but Manchester United will likely be in the hunt for him if he does indeed leave Bayern next year.

Left-back has proven to be a problematic position for the Red Devils due to numerous injury concerns for Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

This has also linked them with Atletico Madrid full-back Mandava, 30, who could be another option to slot in on the left of defence.

28-year-old Germany international Tah will be an asset if he leaves Bayer Leverkusen, as expected, with clubs from Italy, England, Germany and Spain all interested.

Juventus, Inter Milan, Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and now Barcelona have all been credited with an interest in the experienced centre-back.

The 6’5″ defenseman will be in a very good position during contract negotiations next year.

Tah almost left Leverkusen for Bayern Munich in the summer after agreeing personal terms, but the clubs never agreed on a transfer fee. He will therefore play his last season with the champions before leaving for free, barring a dramatic turnaround. .
