Due to the high number of fake and counterfeit documents, the Italian government has suspended the validity of all “Nulla Osta” (work permits) issued to citizens of certain countries, including Bangladesh, until verifications necessary are completed, the Italian embassy said. in Dhaka.

In accordance with the decree-law of October 11, 2024, the embassy will issue the work visa only after receiving confirmation from the provincial immigration office in Italy (“Sportello Unico” – SUI) that the verification of the suspended Nulla Osta has been completed .

Pending the above-mentioned verification, applicants will have their passports returned, the Italian Embassy said while informing Italian work visa applicants and appointment seekers.

The return operation will take place gradually from Sunday (October 20).

Each applicant will be contacted by the embassy via VFS Global with a text message or email informing them that the passport is ready for collection.

Work visa appointment applicants from whom Nulla Osta receives confirmation will be contacted by VFS Global to submit their application.
