Moline joins National Clean Energy cohort

The city of Moline will participate in peer learning cohorts led by the U.S. Department of Energy as part of its Clean Energy for Communities initiative, according to a news release. This will support the Shine On Moline agrivoltaic farm development project.

Moline will partner with Prairie Rivers Network and 14 other groups across the country through the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the World Resources Institute. The program will run for six months, and the July cohort will include the implementation of agrivoltaics.

According to the press release, participation in this program will enable Molina to gain critical insight into the latest agrivoltaic technologies and best practices. Through collaboration, they hope to refine project plans, secure necessary funding, and ensure the successful implementation and sustainable development of the Shine On Moline agrivoltaic farm.
