Brands like True Classic and Caden Lane are joining Target’s expanded digital marketplace

Consumer goods brands like True Classic and Caden Lane have joined Target by invitation, third party marketTarget Plus as the retailer expands its selection and capabilities.

Thanks to Target’s partnership with Shopify, more consumer goods brands can now join the program, and they can also bring their products to Target’s physical stores in the near future.

Brands included Shopify interested in selling on Target.com can apply through the Marketplace Connect app, where they can also manage orders. Cara Sylvester, executive vice president and chief guest experience officer at Target, said the offer will help consumers discover more “thoughtfully designed and affordable products.”

Shopify CEO Harley Finkelstein said fast-growing brands like Caden Lane and True Classic will be able to reach millions of new consumers through the partnership.

Target Plus purchases are also tied to the retailer’s purchases membership offers that allow consumers to apply a 5% discount on Circle Card transactions on orders over $35. They can also receive free shipping on these orders, as well as free returns.

The marketplace originally launched in 2019 and, according to Target, features more than 2 million brands, including Ruggable, Crocs, Maui Jim and Timberland.
