Green energy threatens military readiness

Joe Biden’s green energy agenda has been a disaster overall, but it may be an even greater disaster when it comes to our military readiness. Green energy relies heavily on China, one of our greatest military adversaries.

Brent Sadler of the Heritage Foundation told KTRH: “If you have a military that has to go out of California to fight a war in Asia, and the lights can’t stay on, it jeopardizes the entire war effort and national security.”

Sadler pointed out that most of the raw materials needed to generate and store solar and wind energy come from or are controlled by China. He also pointed out that this makes even the government’s behind-the-scenes use of electric vehicles for non-combat purposes a problem.

He said: “If you don’t have operational power plants because of our over-reliance on renewables, you run the risk of not being able to power electric vehicles.” Sadler argues that instead of focusing on making our military more environmentally friendly, we should focus on making sure our military infrastructure is resilient and ready for any mission we might need it to accomplish.
