Nuno Espirito Santo and Morgan Gibbs-White banned by FA

Nuno’s ban was ‘stacked’ by the FA, with a one-match suspension from last season’s stormy game at Everton triggered and two games added for his behavior at Brighton.

The sanction comes a week after Forest were fined a huge £750,000 for a controversial social media post following the 2-0 defeat at Goodison Park.

Brighton head coach Fabian Hürzeler, who was also sent to the stands with Nuno, was fined £8,000.

An FA statement read: “Nuno Espirito Santo and Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest were sanctioned by an independent regulatory commission, and Fabian Hurzeler of Brighton & Hove Albion was fined.

“Nuno Espirito Santo, Morgan Gibbs-White and Fabian Hurzeler were charged following incidents in ’83.rdminute of the Premier League match between Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion, Sunday September 22.

“It was alleged that the Nottingham Forest head coach acted inappropriately and/or used abusive and/or insulting language towards a match official. The Nottingham Forest midfielder allegedly acted inappropriately and/or made offensive and/or insulting remarks towards the fourth official after his sending off. It has been alleged that the Brighton & Hove Albion manager acted inappropriately.

“Nuno Espirito Santo, Morgan Gibbs-White and Fabian Hurzeler have admitted their respective accusations.
