Both Harry and Niall posted their tributes today, October 18, with Harry arriving in the early hours and Niall arriving this morning. Louis, Zayn and Niall said “I love you” in their statements and Harry said his heart breaks for those around the world who “loved him like I did.” The tributes in full can be read below.

Louis Tomlinson’s tribute:

“I am beyond devastated to write this, but yesterday I lost a brother. Liam was someone I looked up to every day, such a positive, funny and kind soul.“I first met Liam when he was 16 and I was 18. I was immediately amazed by his voice, but more importantly, over time I got the chance to see the nice brother I had dreamed of all my life.“Liam was an incredible songwriter with a great sense of melody, we often talked about going back into the studio together to try and recreate the writing chemistry we had built in the band.

“And for the record, Liam was in my opinion the most vital part of One Direction. His experience from a young age, his perfect pitch, his stage presence, his gift for songwriting. The list goes on. Thank you for having shaped us Liam.”A message for you Liam if you’re listening,“I feel beyond lucky to have had you in my life but I’m having a really hard time saying goodbye. I’m so grateful that we’ve gotten even closer since the group, speaking on phone for hours, reminiscing about all the thousands of incredible memories we had together is a luxury I thought I would have with you for life. I would have loved to share the stage with you again, but it wasn’t. the case.“I want you to know that if Bear needs me, I will be the uncle he needs in his life and I will tell him how amazing his father was.I wish I had the chance to say goodbye and tell you once again how much I loved you. Payno, my boy, one of my best friends, my brother, I love you buddy. Sleep well.”

Tribute to Zayn Malik:

“Liam, I found myself talking to you out loud, hoping you could hear me. I can’t help but selfishly think that there were so many more conversations to be had in our lives. I don’t I could never thank you for supporting me through some of the hardest times of my life When I was at home as a 17 year old kid, you would always be there with a positive attitude and a smile. reassuring and you would let me know that you were my friend and that I was loved.

“Even though you were younger than me, you were always more sensible than me, you were stubborn, opinionated and you didn’t give a damn about telling people when they were wrong. Even though we clashed because of this on many occasions, I always secretly respected you for that When it came to music, Liam, you were the most qualified in every way, I knew nothing in comparison, I was a novice kid with no experience and. you were already a professional, I was always happy to know, no matter what happened on stage, we could always count on you to know which direction to steer the ship next.

“I lost a brother when you left us and I can’t explain to you what I would give to hug you one last time and say goodbye properly and tell you that I love and respect you I will cherish you all the memories I have with you in my heart forever, there are no words that justify or explain how I feel right now other than devastated. you are right now, you are good and at peace and you know how much you are loved, I love you, my brother.

Tribute to Harry Styles:

“I am truly devastated by Liam’s passing. His greatest joy was making others happy, and it was an honor to be by his side while he did it. Liam lived life wide open with his heart on his sleeve , he had an energy for life that was contagious. He was warm, supportive and incredibly loving.

“The years we spent together will forever be some of the most cherished years of my life. I will always miss him, my lovely friend. My heart breaks for Karen, Geoff, Nicola and Ruth, his son Bear and everyone in the family. the whole world who knew and loved him, like me.

Tribute to Niall Horan:

“I am absolutely devastated by the passing of my incredible friend, Liam. It just doesn’t seem real. Liam had an energy for life and a passion for work that was contagious. He was the brightest in every room and did always make everyone feel happy and safe. All the laughter we have had over the years, sometimes over the simplest things, comes back to mind through sadness.

“We were able to live our wildest dreams together and I will cherish every moment we experienced forever. The bond and friendship we had doesn’t come around often in a lifetime. I feel so lucky to have been able to see him recently. Unfortunately, I didn’t know that after I said goodbye and hugged him that evening, I would say goodbye to him forever. heartbreaking.
