PenFed Veterans Program Announces June 2024 Cohort and Opens Applications for September Cohort

The six-week program provides networking and mentoring for veteran-owned businesses

TYSONS, WA., June 26, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — PenFed Foundationnational 501(c)3 founded by PenFed Credit Unionis proud to continue supporting veteran-owned businesses by announcing the June 2024 cohort of the Veteran-Owned Entrepreneur Program. For the first time, the Veteran-Owned Business Accelerator Program is taking place in Bentonville, Arkansas.

The six-week program brings together veteran-owned businesses from across the country to participate in networking events, roundtables and mentoring opportunities. Seminars with distinguished business leaders cover topics ranging from business development, sales, legal issues, media training, branding, scaling and exiting.

This cohort brings together military veteran entrepreneurs from a variety of industries.

The June 2024 cohort includes:

  • Trident Coffee
    Founded by a US Navy veteran Eric Johnson. Trident Coffee is a leader in craft cold brew coffee with three physical bars in the San Diego Bay Area. Eric has developed a proprietary instant cold brew coffee that will be sold directly to customers.
  • SABO
    Founded by a US Army veteran Justin Neal and United States Navy veteran Taylor Cassatt. SABO offers a mobile app that aims to connect landowners and outdoor enthusiasts, enabling access to exclusive properties as well as offering exciting equipment purchasing opportunities.
  • Well camouflaged
    Founded by an Ohio Army National Guard veteran Shanta Frazier. WellCapped is the premier luxury hair extensions and wig rental platform.
  • True to brand
    Founded by a United States Air Force veteran Preston Plowman. Onbrand is a rapidly growing SaaS company that connects product designers and manufacturers to enable them to create specification packages.
  • Signum Technologies
    United States Navy Veteran Sean Freitag serves as CEO. Signum Technologies is an artificial intelligence and computer vision company that uses technology to solve critical challenges facing humanity.
  • Terra Arma
    Founded by a US Army veteran David Reid and Air National Guard veteran Christian Meyers. Earth Arma produces the highest quality, functional clothing that withstands the hardships of the field while ensuring optimal comfort.

Since 2018, the PenFed Foundation has helped educate more than 4,700 veteran and military spouse entrepreneurs.
