Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have been the subject of litigation and controversy due to mounting evidence of their long-term effects on human health. PFAS are perhaps best known for their uses in films, packaging and electronics – but they have also played a key role in the renewable energy sector.

In this episode co-published with S&P Global Commodity Insights’ Energy Evolution podcast, reporter Camilla Naschert looks at the role of PFAS in the renewable energy sector, talking to industry leaders and scientists about what they do and whether a clean energy future is possible without them.

The Chemical Week Podcast is the industry’s premier platform for wide-ranging discussion of issues affecting the global chemical sector, led by the editors of Chemical Week and S&P Global Commodity Insights.
