Synechron doubles Australian presence with dual acquisitions

Global digital transformation consultancy Synechron continues its march on Australian soil, doubling its local presence with the twin acquisitions of Chamonix IT and Exposé.

The sister consultancies are based in Adelaide and focus on full-service digital solutions and data science, engineering and artificial intelligence respectively, and collectively employ approximately 200 specialists at Australian-based Synechron.

The latest acquisitions follow in the footsteps of Melbourne-based cloud and data specialist iGreenData, which closed last month, while the financial services consultancy started the year by opening a new office in Sydney.

“Chamonix IT and Exposé will enrich our presence in Australia, bringing fresh expertise and capabilities that complement our ongoing commitment to the region,” said Synechron co-founder and CEO Faisal Husain. “This move will enhance our service offering and generate significant value, strengthening our strategy of continuous innovation and customer-centric solutions.”

Chamonix was founded and is led by former Kloud Solutions (now part of Telstra Purple) SA state director Scott Grigg in 2010 with Kloud co-founder Geoff Rohrsheim through his technology incubator Hatch Creations, and Exposé launched six years later with the CEO Kelly Drewetta. Hatch’s stablemates include Cevo and Arinco, who are currently under the Connetico Quadrant banner.

The original company (pronounced sham-oh-nee) offers a range of services in technology consulting, cloud and infrastructure, application innovation, security and managed services, with clients in government, defense, healthcare, energy, utilities, education, retail and finance, while Exposé was created with a greater focus on data analytics and artificial intelligence.

“Joining forces with Synechron is a significant milestone for us. Our shared commitment to excellence and innovation means we are uniquely positioned to offer transformative digital solutions that are unmatched,” said Grigg, while Drewett added: “This accelerates our ability to innovate and empowers our people to take on even more complex challenges on behalf of our clients.”
