Live Nation benefits because an antitrust trial may not occur until 2026 and Trump may win

Living Nation (NYSE:LYV) increased by 4% in the face of reports that the antitrust lawsuit of the US Department of Justice against the concert organizer will not go to court until 20026. Shares may also be helped by an increase in the chances of Donald Trump winning after the presidential debate on Thursday evening.

U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian called the scheduling “appropriate,” according to a Reuters report on Thursday covering the first hearing in the trial in New York. Live Nation (LYV) is pushing to move the case to Washington, D.C. Subramanian met for about an hour with lawyers for both sides on Thursday.

Late last month, the Justice Department and more than two dozen states filed an antitrust lawsuit against Ticketmaster’s parent company, Live Nation (LYV), seeking to break up the company.

Live Nation (LYV) stock could also jump higher after the presidential debate on Thursday night as investors see a potential Trump presidency as more favorable on antitrust issues because the Biden administration is particularly stringent.
