Donald Trump’s age: Donald Trump’s health in poor health ahead of 2024 US elections? Kamala Harris raises shocking questions

The 2024 US election campaign has entered its final stage and Vice President Kamala Harris has sparked apprehensions about the fitness for office of Donald Trump, the oldest major party candidate for the White House in the story facing speculation that he was “exhausted” after pulling out of a series of interviews, according to an AFP report.

While he appears on friendly television networks, the 78-year-old Republican has canceled his interviews with outlets including NBC, CNBC and CBS. He also refused a second debate with Harris, after being soundly defeated in the first, AFP reported.

Politico reported that a Trump aide told producers at a website brokering an interview that the ex-president was “exhausted” and was declining some appearances – a claim described by his campaign as “detached from reality.”

But Harris, who turns 60 this weekend, hammered Trump on his health and resilience. The former president has been busy, maintaining a busy schedule of appearances in new and traditional media, but most have been in outlets where he is rarely interviewed, according to an AFP report.

Trump reacted angrily to Harris’ jab, telling reporters he hadn’t canceled anything and calling his Democratic opponent a “loser” who “doesn’t have the energy of a rabbit.”

The ex-president also insisted at a town hall in Auburn Hills, a suburb of Detroit’s auto hub, on his promise to impose general taxes on American imports.

But Harris, speaking in Oakland County, warned voters: “Donald Trump is making the same empty promises to the people of Michigan as he has before, hoping you will forget how he let it go last time.”

The vice president has a slight lead in national polling averages, while many October polls in Michigan show him neck and neck.

Trump has surprised analysts with a schedule that mixes stops in swing states and appearances in areas where he has no chance of winning, but where he is guaranteed large crowds.
