The funding round was co-led by Forerunner Ventures and Index Ventures. The other prominent investors included Google Ventures and True Ventures. The team behind Daydream is highly experienced in their career. They are former executives from tech giants such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Farfetch. Hence, they are bringing with them a wealth of experience and expertise to the table.

The entry of Daydream in the market reflects a broader trend in the e-commerce landscape. Its technology will leverage and enhance customer experience. Similar experiments are being worked upon in the industry by other tech giants too.
