Emcovele becomes part of Atlas Copco Group | Acquisitions

Emcovele, the Ecuadorian compressor distributor, has become part of the Atlas Copco Group.

Emcovele, based in Quito and Guayaquil, employs 49 people and sells and services compressed air technologies.

Atlas Copco today (2^and July) confirmed the acquisition of the South American company.

Philippe Ernens, President of the Compressor Technique business unit at Atlas Copco, said: “This acquisition will strengthen our direct presence in Ecuador and is in line with our objective to get closer to end customers and expand our geographic reach.”

Last month (June 2024), Atlas Copco expanded its Compressor Technique business area with the addition of UK-based AE Industrial, marking growth in this market segment.

AE Industrial was established in 1970 and employs 40 staff. The company services a wide range of industrial businesses in Leeds, Stoke, Birmingham and Blidworth in the UK.

The purchase price in both transactions was not disclosed.
