Police search for assault, robbery suspects in city center

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department’s Central Detective Division is asking for the public’s help in identifying three suspects involved in a robbery that occurred last month in Center City.

On September 22, around 7:59 p.m., a 31-year-old man was attacked near 1500 JFK Boulevard. According to authorities, the victim was punched several times before being kicked while he was on the ground. One of the suspects then searched the victim’s pockets and took his wallet.

Police have released descriptions of the three suspects involved in the attack. The first suspect is described as a black man with a thin build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and gray shorts. The second suspect is described as a black male of heavy build, wearing a dark t-shirt with the letters “KORS” on the front and gray sweatpants. The third suspect is a black man of slim build, wearing a Phillies hat, gray jacket and gray pants.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Central Detective Division. Police also provided video footage and still images of the suspects in an attempt to identify them.

The investigation is still ongoing.
