Ramarketing hires head of data and insights

The agency has Elliott Gibson (picture)former senior AI and data scientist at IAG Loyalty – part of International Airlines Group – to the new role.

Ramarketing said he “brings a wealth of knowledge in predictive modeling, simulation, time series modeling/forecasting, and machine learning in addition to data analytics and market research”.

Gibson has spent more than a decade in the market research sector, with other previous roles including manager, data operations and analytics at MarketCast, and insights analyst at Kadence International.

In his new role, Gibson will focus on developing proprietary AI applications for marketing and building predictive analytics to strengthen its AI capabilities.

He said: “I am excited to join Ramarketing at this pivotal time. The agency’s unwavering commitment to leveraging AI and data to deliver exceptional results for clients aligns perfectly with my passion for driving growth through data-driven insights. Together with the talented team at ramarketing, I look forward to shaping the future of life science marketing.”

Ramarketing has also promoted Matt Dent, previously head of content, to head of delivery. He will oversee the agency’s client delivery and the integration of AI and data-led solutions.

Gibson and Dent sit on the agency’s leadership team and report to Emma Banks, chief executive, who said: “Elliott’s appointment and Matt’s promotion are testament to our commitment to delivering cutting-edge marketing solutions to our clients”.

She added: “Their combined expertise in data and insights, coupled with Matt’s operational leadership, will enable us to provide even greater value to our clients and drive their success.”

The appointments come in the wake of a strategic rebrand of Ramarketing earlier this year, in which it updated its logo and replaced its old strapline, ‘Get noticed in life sciences’, with ‘Grow in life sciences’.

Founded in 2009, the agency is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, with offices in the US and Canada, and more than 80 staff. Ramarketing generated UK revenue of £6m in 2023 and is 14th in the PRWeek UK Top 150 Consultancies Healthcare table.
