Hong Kong police make public appeal for help in finding missing 15-year-old twin sisters

Hong Kong police have made two appeals for the public’s help in locating two 15-year-old twin sisters who were reported missing after leaving their Cheung Sha Wan home separately within a week.

The force released photos of missing teenagers Kong Wing-ki and Kong Wing-yan on Monday, with the message that anyone who knows their whereabouts should contact officers from the Kowloon West Regional Missing Persons Unit.

In an appeal, police said Wing-ki was last seen at her home, an apartment on Un Chau Street in Cheung Sha Wan, around midday on October 9.

According to law enforcement, she was carrying her Hong Kong ID card, cell phone and cash when she left her home.

In an appeal to find Wing-yan, police said the girl also left the family apartment, but at 12:45 a.m. last Wednesday, a week after her sister disappeared.

Wing-yan had a cellphone but did not take any identification documents with her when she left home, police said.
