Meta Quest 3 v67 Update – Here’s What’s Inside

Meta remains committed to improving Meta Quest 3, with new updates arriving monthly. This month’s update, Horizon OS v67, is now available for headset users.

Key updates in this update focus on productivity and social interactions. Moving and grouping windows has been given a boost, and users can now have three panels in a “hinged” arrangement, with up to three additional panels arranged however they like.

These customization options allow users to create a configuration that best suits their needs and will be especially useful for tasks that require multiple windows to be open at once, such as an ingredients list and a YouTube tutorial video.

Also new is a theater view mode that lets users bring one window to the foreground and center it, increasing its size and dimming everything else – useful for those using the extended window option.

Meta Quest 3 Update Brings New Content Channel for Creators

Another new feature introduced in Horizon OS v67 is the addition of creator-created content to the Horizon Feed, making it a more social experience.

According to Meta, “Not only will the new content introduce you to new games and apps, but we’ll also be adding destination tagging so you can easily jump to something that catches your eye.”

This will work well with the increased window capacity, allowing users to open and review any content they are interested in in a new window.

Rumor has it that new features will be coming

There have been rumors of a few additional new features, but Meta hasn’t updated its release notes page with details about v67 yet, so until the update is fully rolled out or the page is updated, we won’t know for sure.

One such update is the addition of swipe typing, which lets users slide their fingers across the keyboard instead of tapping each letter individually. This is popular on smartphones and other touchscreen devices. You can check if the feature has arrived by going to Settings > System > Keyboard and enabling it there.

Users will also be able to watch videos using a file browser or Meta Quest TV while having the VR app open.
